Pro Physio Rehabilitation Center is proud to offer patient-focused physiotherapy to patients across Sudbury and Northern Ontario. Since opening over a decade ago, we’ve helped many people in our community increase their mobility and strength, and most importantly, improve their quality of life.

Our team combines a wealth of education and experience to deliver truly dynamic physiotherapy to patients across the region.

Trina Tessaro BHSc.(PT), B.Kin, Dip.Manip.PT, FCAMPT, CIDN

Co-Owner & Registered Physiotherapist

Trina graduated from McMaster University in 1997 with an Honours degree in Kinesiology and continued at McMaster obtaining her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy in 2001.  Trina returned to Sudbury, her hometown, after graduating and began working in a private orthopedic clinic.  In 2008, Trina and her friend and fellow classmate, Tania Burton, established Pro Physio Rehabilitation Center.

 

Since graduating, Trina has completed several courses and has successfully obtained her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy.

She has also obtained her Certificate in Integrated Dry Needling, Certificate in Fascial Movement Foundation from the Stott Pilates group, as well as acupuncture training.

Her clinic areas of interest include sports related injuries, the treatment and management of spinal and peripheral joint pain and dysfunction, chronic pain, and many other conditions that impact an individual’s function.  In addition, over the years, Trina has assisted several individuals who have sustained brain injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

 

Trina enjoys running, cycling, downhill skiing, travelling, spending time with her family and friends, and encouraging her young daughter to enjoy the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle.

Tania Burton BHSc.(PT), BSc (Hons), Dip.Manip.PT, FCAMPT, CIDN

Co-owner & Registered Physiotherapist

Tania is a Physiotherapist and clinic co-owner with over 19 years of clinical experience. Tania was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario and grew up in a home built by her grandfather on the same property where Pro Physio Rehabilitation Center is located today.

 

Tania graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in physiotherapy and has completed numerous courses over the years, obtaining her diploma in Manipulative Therapy, the FCAMPT designation, a certificate in integrated dry needling, training in acupuncture and more recently a variety of courses focusing on

vestibular rehabilitation.

 

Tania has a special interest in treating clients suffering from dizziness/vertigo as well as people who have sustained a concussion. She has also worked extensively with people who have sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, post-operative clients and people who have suffered injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

 

Tania also enjoys running, skiing, golfing, and biking as well as spending time at the lake especially during the precious summer months.

Sean Wiley BSc.(PT), BSc, Dip.Manip.PT, FCAMPT, CIDN

Registered Physiotherapist

Sean is a graduate of Queen’s University, where he completed his degree in Health Science. After graduating from Queen’s University, Sean went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from McGill University. 

 

Sean moved to Sudbury in 2007 and joined the Pro Physiotherapy team in 2012. Since graduating, Sean has completed several postgraduate courses and obtained his Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. He got certified in Integrated Dry Needling in 2016 and has taken many complementary courses pertaining to exercise prescription,

Mulligan concept, Mckenzie concept, and the shoulder complex. He strives to provide the best evidence-based orthopaedic treatment to his patients. 

His areas of interest include the shoulder complex, sport related injuries, repetitive strain injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and complex spinal and peripheral impairments. 

 

In his personal time, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, hiking around the world, camping, backpacking, skiing, paddling sports, hockey, and rock climbing.

samantha walter

Samantha Walter MPT, BSc Kin (Hons)
Registered Physiotherapist

Samantha graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours degree in Kinesiology. She then continued her education at Western University and obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy. Following the completion of her program, she returned to Sudbury to join the Pro Physio Rehabilitation team. 

 

Since graduating, Samantha has completed additional training in dry needling and manual therapy and is looking forward to continuing to advance her skills through postgraduate courses.


Samantha enjoys working with clients with a variety of conditions, including sports injuries, repetitive overuse injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and many other conditions that are impacting a client’s function and ability to participate in the activities they enjoy.

She prefers a dynamic treatment approach incorporating manual therapy and exercise to develop an individualized treatment plan to suit each client’s unique needs. She feels that education is an essential component of therapy as it enables the client to manage their own well-being better.

In her personal time, Samantha enjoys being outdoors, running, ringette, and spending time with friends and family.

Jeffrey Turgeon

Jeffrey Turgeon M.Sc.PT, M.Cl.Sc. AHCP, B.Sc HK, FCAMPT.

Registered Physiotherapist

Jeffrey is a Registered Physiotherapist who is fluently bilingual (English and French) with an extensive background in musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction, and injuries caused from sports, work, motor vehicle accidents, as well as other recreational activities and/or pathologies.


Jeffrey graduated in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa. He then went on to complete a Masters of Clinical Science in Advanced Health Care Practice from the University of Western in 2019. Upon completion of his Master’s degree in 2019, Jeffrey became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Prior to this, Jeffrey completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the

University of Guelph in 2011.


Jeffrey joined the Pro Physio team when he moved back from Ottawa to his hometown of Sudbury in 2020. Jeffrey is also the current Physiotherapist for Laurentian University’s men’s and women’s track & field/cross country running teams. He has taken several post-graduate courses in Functional Dry Needling, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and others with a focus on the assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions.


Being a former competitive runner, Jeffrey has a special interest in treating individuals with running-related injuries. In his spare time, Jeffrey likes to golf, run, swim, ski, and spend time with his family and friends.


Jeffrey strongly believes in offering quality service that is evidence-informed with a combination of manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and most importantly, client education.

Dayna Webster MPT

Dayna Webster MPT, BSc Kin (Hons)
Registered Physiotherapist

Dayna is a Physiotherapist who completed her education at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Dayna completed a Bachelor of Science degree with specialization in Kinesiology in 2016. She then went on to obtain her Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 2019. During her education, she also spent some time during a clinical placement in Australia, learning from physiotherapists in an orthopaedic setting.

 

While originally from Kingston, Dayna spent her first three years following graduation in Timmins, Ontario where she gained valuable experience in a hospital setting. Dayna has found that her passion lies in the orthopaedic world of 

physiotherapy and upon moving to Sudbury, she has joined the team at Pro Physio Rehabilitation Center. Dayna believes in evidence-based, individualized and goal-oriented treatment plans. She is grateful to be able to help clients improve their function and get them back to doing the things that they love most.

 

Dayna is actively participating in post-graduate education to further her skills and ability to assist her clients. Currently, she is working through her level 2 manual therapy coursework with the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

 

Dayna also has an interest in pelvic floor dysfunction and women's health. She has taken course Levels 1-3 with Pelvic Health Solutions for the physiotherapy approach for treating urinary incontinence and pelvic pain conditions. She has additionally taken courses related to physiotherapy treatment in pregnancy and menopause.  

 

In her spare time, Dayna enjoys spending time with family, friends and her golden retriever. She also enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors and travelling.
